Mattix Academy: Women's Self-Defense Seminar

We are excited to host our first 2023 Women's Self-Defense seminar at Mattix Academy on Feb 11 at 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM EST

Tickets go on sale January 16 at 8am EST. Register with a friend, mother, child, family and receive $20 off your total with the (2) Ticket option. We welcome anyone from the recommended age of 10+.

Due to space capacity, we are limiting to 16 individuals to provide best instructional assistance while drilling and performing the techniques. If tickets are sold out, check out the upcoming events page for future.

There are two options to purchase a ticket:

2. (2) Admission Tickets $80

Agenda:

7:30-8 am: Check-in, Sign Waive,  Networking

8 - 8:15 am: Introductions + Chat

8:15-8:45am: Basic Movement Techniques (backfalls, forward rolls, back rolls)

8:45-9am: Talk on next techniques

9-9:45am: Technique + Drilling 

9:45-10am: Closing Remarks

What to bring?

• Comfortable workout clothes
• Water

Key points to know:

• Shoes are not worn on the mat. You will be barefoot.
• Water and poweraid available for purchase. 
• A waive will be required for you to sign before getting on the mats. 
• No shoes are allowed on the mats. When you enter, please place your shoes on the shoe racks in front of the mat.
• Carry your shoes with you if you use the restroom. To maintain clean mats, we ask all students to wear shoes while using the restroom, then take the shoes off to walk on the mats 
• The techniques we will teach will have you falling on the floor and taking you out of your comfort zones. We will have instructors on the mat to ease any discomfort.
